In an exclusive interview with SexSymbol Magazine, rising pop artist ABBLY opens up about her journey, her musical inspirations, and what’s next as she steps into a brand-new era. With raw honesty and infectious energy, ABBLY reflects on the path that led her here — from performing at just three years old to quitting her full-time job to chase her dreams.

Early Beginnings and Musical Roots

“I started performing when I was three years old,” ABBLY shared. “My mom always says that I sang before I talked — classic.” What began as a childhood passion for singing and musical theater quickly evolved into something deeper.

After studying music in both high school and college, ABBLY realized that turning her greatest passion into an academic pursuit was stifling her creativity. “My passion for music is so sacred that I wouldn’t want to risk that for anything,” she explained. Ironically, it was after stepping away from her studies that ABBLY truly found her voice as an artist.

“When I met my fiancée — she’s a big pop girly — she told me I should make my own music,” ABBLY recalled. “I started making songs and immediately thought, yeah, this is what I need to be doing.”

Inspirations: Lana, Billie, and Gaga

ABBLY’s sound is deeply shaped by some of pop’s most iconic figures. “Lana Del Rey, first and foremost, mother,” she laughed. “Songwriting-wise, she’s the queen. I’ve loved her since middle school.”

More recently, Billie Eilish has been another huge influence. “When Lana and Billie performed Video Games together at Coachella, it was like my younger self and my current self colliding,” she said. “It was iconic. I bawled the entire time.”

She also cites Lady Gaga as an inspiration, praising her artistry and individuality: “I’m inspired by everyone in a way. Everything inspires me — I take from any and everything.”

The Mission Behind the Music

ABBLY’s message is rooted in authenticity and emotional connection. “The mission behind my music is to make everyone feel heard, safe, and comfortable,” she explained. “As someone who has felt like an outcast most of my life, it’s important for me to be my true, authentic self to show others the power in doing the same.”

That honesty often comes with vulnerability. “Sometimes I write something and think, is this too deep?” she admitted. “But then I realize someone might be listening who thought they were alone — and that song makes them feel seen.”

A New Era Ahead

2025 marks a turning point for ABBLY. “I recently quit my full-time job to pursue music for a living,” she revealed. “I’m working with an amazing producer, and we’ve been making beautiful art. It’s an entirely new era — and it’s 100% ABBLY.”

Her biggest goal for the year? “To have a full EP or album out and be performing regularly. Doing this full-time is every musician’s dream.”

What She’s Listening To

When asked about her current favorite tracks, ABBLY didn’t hesitate to mention Lady Gaga’s latest album. “Mayhem just came out, and I’ve been playing it on repeat,” she said. “My favorite song off the album is Killa — it’s addictive. And Perfect Celebrity makes me feel fierce.”

As for songs she could use a break from? “Honestly, Taylor Swift right now,” she laughed. “My sisters are huge Swifties, and after a long road trip, I could go a couple weeks without hearing another song.”

Dreams, Growth, and What’s Next

Long-term, ABBLY’s vision extends beyond her own success. “I want to be able to support my family with my music,” she said. “Whenever I lose hope, I remember why I’m doing this — to give back to them and to create a safer space for LGBTQ+ people in the world.”

Her favorite of her own releases so far is Angel Numbers, her debut single. “Everyone loves that one, and I think it’s because I was just creating art and doing what I love,” she shared.

With her growing following — 3,700+ on Instagram and over 11,000 on TikTok — and a new body of work on the way, ABBLY is ready to take the next leap in her career. “Y’all are getting the beginning of ABBLY,” she said with a smile. “This is only the start.”
